Math Connects online!
Math Connects online is an amazing resource! Your child can go to this website and review the day's lesson, practice his/her math facts, or study for a test. Using the link provided, go to Math Home and choose Second Grade. The homework pages in your child's workbook indicate the chapter being studied at the bottom of the page. We hope you will have your child take advantage of this excellent tool.

Sixth Grade Buddies Visit
8-A's Sixth Grade buddies came to our classroom and helped us make personal journals. We decorated the journals and glued in a picture from our first visit, when they gave us a tour of the middle school. We are looking forward to spending time with them again next week and writing about our adventures in our journals.

Community Outreach Toy Drive
Calvert School will be participating in a Community Outreach Toy Drive November 28th through December 2nd. We will be collecting new and gently used toys to donate to our outreach partners, The Hampden Family Center, Paul’s Place, as well as some other local organizations that serve the less fortunate. If you would like to participate in this all school drive, please have your son or daughter bring in a donation any day during the week of November 28th. Gifts should be wrapped and marked with a tag denoting the age, gender, and if the gift is new or gently used. We will be providing gift tags for the students, and additional tags will be available in the Lower School Lobby. Donation boxes in the Luetkemeyer Lobby. Thank you in advance for your support!
