Famous American Women Reports

Caroline and Ana Lee gave excellent
presentations today.  Caroline taught us
about the life of Eleanor Roosevelt,
and Ana Lee shared about the
life of Michelle Kwan.

Charlotte shared about the life of Amelia Earhart,Yzabel's
presentation was about Clara Barton, Coco told about the life of
Kristie Yamaguchi, and Anna reported on
the life of Mia Hamm.  We learned so
much about these amazing women from your
reports, girls!  Congratulations on a job
done well!




Eighth Age Visits Union Mills Homestead

Union Mills is a 200+ year old homestead where students
can tour the original house and working mill.  In
addition, the students visit the blacksmith
shop and wood shop to see how wood
and metal are used to craft items
useful to a working homestead
in the past.

Earth Day Activities
Calvert School has schoolwide Earth Day activities
planned this week to help our students become
more aware of how to preserve and protect
our environment.

Today the Eighth Age had the
opportunity to have four
varied and exciting experiences.

A discussion about our watershed
and ways Calvert is working
to keep our water clean





A powerpoint and discussion of
ways to help our school become
more "green".



A recycling lesson along with
a survey of Calvert School's present
recycling habits.

ecosystem art for
a school mural
